A typically fantastic production from D Oyle Carte - This anniversary production of The Mikado brings a fantastic cast and wonderful direction together with sensitivity to the original idea of W S Gilbert. Ko-Ko is extremely funny, with an up-to-date little list and there is a rare re-writing of the Mikado s song. The chorus work and the set and fantastic achoustics at Buxton Opera House combine to make this a memorable production.
